Another Lifetime With You

Time has shown it's many faces
as we sat in the hourglass together
Watching a slide show of past memories
from each grain of fallen sand
Childish ambitions embraced our vision
as if we were reliving the moment
Of our younger years
...our escape from reality

Much water fell freely
and happily from our eyes
While the memories of past times
continued to grasp our sight

Oh how we've grown together

Transformation after transformation
took hold of me and you
like a deep love that enfolds the heart
We became one

As for time...it became a dear friend
For it didn't cause this love to wither or tire
Instead!
Growth, understanding, and endless joy
came of this connection

And as our earthly journey comes to a close
The stars have begun to align our constellation
For my soul has prepared
